Angels and Demons

A slide show of depictions from several centuries, in  Saskatchewan,  Alberta,  British Columbia,  Quebec and France.

This scaly green specimen was made back in 1170 for the Cathedral at Troyes in France.  It is now at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

You should be able to spot another gremlin,  complete with horns, which appears several times in the slide show. That devil was also made in France, about 800 years after the Green Demon.

Watch for demons in other guises, including an atomic explosion alongside a cocktail glass in a Saskatchewan church of the 1950s,  and one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in Rennes, France.
