Union Station Regina, 1912

c. 1912

This handsome train station, built in the golden year of 1912, accommodated both the Canadian Pacific and the Canadian National passenger lines. By modifying the heavy stone surround of the entrance and removing classical elements above the entry, a later architect was able to transform the building to a more fashionable Art Deco style, around 1929.
