Hobbs, Toronto
Thomas More (1478-1535) was an English Statesman under Henry VIII.
In the right panel is More's crest Latin motto "Caput Nostrum Christus", Our Head for Christ. By standing up to Henry in the matter of divorce from one of the King's many wives, Thomas lost his head, becoming a Martyr of the Catholic Church.
