Mary Magdalene is depicted in a shocking chartreuse gown, before the turquoise tomb of Jesus.
This vividly coloured depiction of the Resurrection, with its well-modeled female figures, voluptuous drapery and rich natural detail, acts as a feminine counterpoint to the armoured figures in the War Memorial Window at the opposite end of the church.
