The sacrament of Confirmation is a rite of initiation in many Christian denominations, bestowing the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
The symbols include the dove of the Holy Spirit at the top, the armour breastplate and sword of a young "Soldier of Christ," a vessel containing sacred oil and a Bishop's green tassels.
