Rault Brothers, Rennes, France
1963
There is an abundance of musical instruments: two angelic trumpets, a musical notation scroll, a harp, another horn, a tambourine, a guitar and even a tuning fork make up this joyful ensemble. It is crowned by a singing bird who, in this case, is not the Holy Spirit. However, the Holy Spirit appears prominently in two of the other seven Ursuline windows.
The colours in these photos are somewhat inaccurate. Because the window is lit artificially from behind, the colour temperature is different from what it would be with the natural exterior light of the original installation at the convent.
