Saskatchewan History Panels (lower section)

McCausland, Toronto

1926

The remarkable stained glass at Canadian Memorial Church includes Provincial Crests and historical panels from nine Canadian provinces. The Saskatchewan window depicts the Battle of Batoche in 1885, which led to the trial and execution of Louis Riel, and a scene of the Native Buffalo Hunt.

All the windows were conceived as a memorial to the Canadian dead of World War One.
