British Windows from Two Centuries

Lawrence Lee (Upper); Morris & Co., both England

1963 and circa 1890

Two of England's most revered artists made windows for this church. In the 19th century, Edward Burne-Jones, the leading Pre-Raphaelite British artist, designed the lower windows for Morris & Co.

Lawrence Lee (1909-2011). celebrated for his post-war windows in Coventry Cathedral, considered his work in the Montreal church to be among his finest.

We have new high-resolution photos of these important windows and hope to add them to our site in 2012, when funding becomes available.
