The swirling light behind the figure of Christ is a modern variation of ancient Orthodox pictorial style.
Better known as a sculptor, Mol also created stained glass for a number of Winnipeg Ukrainian congregations. His swirling, richly coloured style demonstrates a mastery of the glass medium.
