French Romanesque Style Facade

1906

The new building designed in the early 1970s by Etienne Gaboury, sits like a tabernacle within the ruins of the old cathedral.

The old stone walls still hold tombs of bishops who served at the cathedral.

The grave of Louis Riel, nineteenth-century rebel and founder of a province, is nearby.
