Rogers Mansion ("Gabriola")

Gabriola, at Davie and Nicola in the West End, was perhaps the grandest of early Vancouver's grand mansions. Built in 1900-1901 for Benjamin Tingley Rogers, the founder of BC Sugar, it was designed by Samuel Maclure.

Saved from demolition and rehabilitated in the mid-1970s by the restauranteur Hy Aisenstadt, it has since been a series of restaurants.
